US, here I come…
Hurray, received my US visa today, and everything is pretty much confirmed! I will be heading to US on the 27th of June, spending approximately 6 weeks there, doing some traveling and working on my BMedSc research project.
I will be flying in to Chapel Hill to visit Eric, and we will be traveling up to Washington DC together. From there, I will be heading north to New York on my own, and hopefully get to witness the US Independence Day firework display in New York. After that, I will be flying further north into Boston, where I will be spending approximately one week, visiting one of the research collaborators cancer biology laboratory in Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The following 3-4 weeks will be spent in The University of Utah, Salt Lake City, where I will be learning from one of the leading genetic statisticians on more advanced analysis of the breast cancer SNPs genotype results.
And if everything goes well, I will be back in Melbourne in early August, and be ready to attend the Familial Cancer Meeting in Kingscliff NSW. And in the mean time, while trying to finalize my literature review, there will be more statistics for me to dwell into, including the few statistic courses to attend.
